Hyphen(-):  It helps to combine two or more words, and can be helpful to avoid awkwardness in a sentence. This looks similar to Dash, but it has a very different use.

Parentheses(): It is used to add extra information to the sentence. However, it is replaceable with a comma without changing the actual meaning of the sentence.

Brackets [] and Braces {}: Brackets are to add information to make sentences clear and concise. So, these emphasize the words inside square brackets and braces are used in writing mathematical equations or any technical text. Also, it is not much use in regular writing.

Incorrect:  He knows where to get those fresh fruits.

Correct:  He[Mr. Chad] knows where to get those fresh fruits.

Apostrophe (’): t is used when to omit some letter. Moreover, this can be also be used to indicate contraction or possessive. Also, to pluralize lowercase letters.

Quotation marks ( “ ):It is used to mention the words, speech or dialogue said by anyone else. The content is written as it is, and there are no changes.
